Ingredients:

You will need the following ingredients for Chili con Carne.

500g/ 1lb 2 oz lean ground beef
500g/ 1lb 2 oz lean ground pork
2 cans red kidney beans (if possible, in chili sauce)
2 cans chopped, peeled tomatoes
2 big onion, finely diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
3 cloves garlic, ground
3 rbsp "chili powder"
1 tbsp "crushed red pepper"
2 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp white wine vinegar
1 tsp "ground cumin"

Extras:
Grated cheddar cheese and sour cream

Method for Chili con Carne:

Brown of the meat in a 5 litre/ 20 cups pot. Add the diced onions, beans, tomatoes (incl. the juice), the green bell pepper, the garlic, the chili powder, the crushed red pepper, sugar, vinegar and the ground cumin. Put on a lid and let the mix simmer for approx. 30 min. Stir every 5-10 min. to prevent it from burning. Serve in little soup bowls with cheese and sour cream on top.
This serving serves 6-8 covers.
